Durham Parks & Recreation has released its January 2026 Play More guide, featuring seasonal activities, nature walks, community events, and family-friendly programs throughout the city. The guide highlights opportunities like weekend nature walks, MLK Day arts events, Fourth Friday Fire nights, and more, all designed to help residents get outdoors and connected this winter. Parks officials are also inviting residents to share feedback on the future Durham Outdoor Aquatic Center at Merrick-Moore Park, a new outdoor pool and recreation space currently in the community engagement phase.
